Vishal Manikanden

Vishal Manikanden is the visionary behind EngiMentor, founded with the mission of making engineering and robotics mentorship accessible, inclusive, and inspiring for all students. With a passion for engineering, Vishal recognized the power of mentorship in opening pathways for innovation.

Vishal's experience with engineering ties into his passion for EngiMentor. As an intern at NOVA Labs, working on engineering projects such as designing medical vehicles for INOVA Hospitals, he witnessed firsthand the power of engineering for the community. Fueled by this motivation as well as his family's previous struggles working around systems they did not understand, he founded EngiMentor.

With his experience as an electrical engineering research intern at Cornell University, co-founder of a nonprofit focused on bringing computer vision-based oral cancer diagnosis to users, and others, Vishal is dedicated to both gaining and spreading the technical knowledge that runs our world today.
